Franklin Remixed

Welcome!

If you would not be forgotten as soon as you are dead and rotten,
either write things worth reading, or do things worth the writing.

- Benjamin Franklin

Scientist Inventor Philosopher Statesman

Economist Printer Founding Father

A man of many faces, Benjamin Franklin represented the emerging American spirit. Just as the colonies were wrestling with new ideas and questioning what was right and wrong, so too was Benjamin Franklin. Three hundred years ago Ben Franklin rocked his world. And the contributions he made, in the form of inventions, writings and ideas, made him one of the more remarkable Americans of his time, and ours.

This online exhibit helps students understand Benjamin Franklin and his influence on the American republic and character.
